that’s what I’m asking. The name is not exactly a common one? John would have been released sometime between 2010=2016, depending on earned behavior?

Robert Mueller transferred the [head of the office of Professional Responsibility] to another supervisory position outside Washington 3 months after rebuking him for his conduct towards a whistleblower [John Roberts] and placed John Conditt. into that now-vacant position. Roberts had complained about a double-standard for supervisory positions over lay agents. Conditt was allegedly reluctant to pursue sex abuse crimes.

From the story about John Conditt:

“Conditt headed the internal affairs unit that investigates agent wrongdoing for the Office of Professional Responsibility at FBI headquarters in Washington from 1999 until his retirement in June 2001, the FBI said. He wrote articles in law enforcement journals on how police agencies could effectively investigate their own conduct.”

Mueller was nominated to the Director of the FBI in July, 2001.

Immediately prior to that:

“In 1993, Mr. Mueller became a partner at Boston’s Hale and Dorr, specializing in complex white collar crime litigation. He again returned to public service in 1995 as senior litigator in the Homicide Section of the District of Columbia United States Attorney’s Office. In 1998, Mr. Mueller was named United States Attorney in San Francisco and held that position until 2001.”

Here is the OIG report on the Roberts” case:

Looks at first glance like the two cases are not related.
