A former Playboy model on Tuesday sued the company that owns the National Enquirer so she could break her silence about an alleged affair she claims she had with President Trump.
Karen McDougal is suing American Media Inc., which paid her $150,000 for her story about the alleged affair and then withheld it from publication, The New York Times reports.
McDougal, whose lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, alleges that she was misled by American Media Inc. and her lawyer at the time about the deal.
She also said in the lawsuit that she was warned by the media company after the spoke with The New Yorker last month that "any further disclosures would break Karen's contract" and "cause considerable monetary damages," according to the Times.
McDougal's current lawyer, Peter Stris told the newspaper in an email that American Media Inc. carried out a "multifaceted effort to silence" his client.
“The lawsuit filed today aims to restore her right to her own voice,” he said. “We intend to invalidate the so-called contract that American Media Inc. imposed on Karen so she can move forward with the private life she deserves.”

People need to grow up. Nobody is perfect, and while I do not laud Trump if he did these things, neither do I stop supporting him. So far, there are no allegations he “did it” in the White House, or lied about it under oath.

It seems to be part of his appeal to those who think vice is a conservative value, those who had no problem swallowing a Clintonian view of marriage. And, after all, he did insist that they come to his third marriage.

Patton didn’t get five draft deferments, which I’m sure don’t matter either as people reach for sophistries to use to defend Trump’s behavior.
What Trump does have going for him, is supposedly according to some Christian leaders, Trump accepted Christ last year during the primaries. Does that make him perfect, no. But he is forgiven for his past. I wouldn't want to be reminded every day of some things I did as a lost soul.
