There does not seem to be a question. I have known South Africans and have ancestors and relatives that were from or fought for the British in South Africa.

The South Africans I have known left South Africa because they knew they could have better lives in the United States.

As for immigration to the United States, I believe that it should be merit based.

However, if my family were at risk, I would exercise every possible option to get them to a safe country.

Perhaps American policy will change one day and make it easier for South Africans that meet certain merit qualifications to emigrate to the United States.

I would support that change in policy.

It's NOT this nation, but THEIR nation, who puts up the most roadblocks, re leaving/getting out.

Your Brit relatives were on the WRONG side, in the Boer War; diddums.

We can all blame that POS drunk, Teddy, "THE SWIMMER", Kennedy, for a lot of the horrors of America's bolloxed immigration policies for the past almost 60 years.

I did NOT ask you WHY the ex=pats left; I asked you HOW, in detail, they got out...which you have now been avoiding answering for at least an hour! Obviously, YOU CAN'T ANSWER THAT BECAUSE YOU DO NOT KNOW ! So get off your high horse, go slither away, and stop making a fool of yourself.
