” rush to summary punishment “
BTW, Sessions is not alone subverting the President’s agenda. Remember Wray testifying under oath before Congress, saying with a straight face that his agency is perfectly ok, while McCabe was still seconding him?
Either Wray is utterly clueless (head of “Investigation”, mind you!), or he was lying and purposedly misled his questionners. Either way is inacceptable and it’s outrageous that he is allowed to be off-the-hook.
I was listening to the Dan Bongino podcast this morning. He said his buddies at the FBI said McCabe was the day to day director while Comey was flying around giving speeches and spending time at his vacation home.
By not firing McCabe right away, McCabe was free to dig his hole a little deeper.
No the current mess is exactly the same mess we had when Sessions came on board, no better, no worse. The problem with the theory of "action", like perp walks and such like, is that perps like McCabe would skate and Trump's DOJ would look ridiculously ineffective. As it stands, McCabe seems destined for a slap on the wrist at worst, his firing may be that slap. But pretending that McCabe would be convicted by a different AG is an exercise in fantasy.
