“Harvey opened the door for a few people, a night with Harvey — that’s the price you pay.”

I wonder if men would speak so cavalierly if that was the price THEY had to pay for a job in Hollywood!

I read an interview with former Western Film star, Lash LaRue, a number of years ago. The interviewer asked him what happened to his film career, since it seemed that he dropped off the radar quite suddenly.

LaRue stated that he had refused to let Hollywood BigShots bugger him (literally). He said that if you wanted to make it big in Hoolywood, and then keep your status, you had to submit to the powerful; men had to submit, as well as women.

He refused and that ended his career.

At least that was his story.
