Agree with you, diversity is a quota system based on social engineering. Water seeks it’s own level and I have never nor will never hire on a basis other than competency. Working first in the Service side of the computer industry I just did not see or meet a lot of Women interested in that side of things, moreso in maybe programming etc. In 1976 when I first embarked on my career EEOC was all the rage and there were massive programs to take secretaries and turn them into service reps, all because of this non sense.
I wonder why this “diversity” does not fit across the broad, I notice a curious lack of White and Asian players in Basketball and ranking inclusion by race ratios in the population a higher number of African Americans in Football. God help us they are virtually non existent in Ice Hockey.

Me too. I was hiring once, and the best candidates all turned out to be male Filipinos (WAY out of proportion to their percentage of the local population). So what? I wouldn’t have cared if they were all one-eyed Uzbeks (or all white heterosexual Christian males). I won’t accept anyone other than the most qualified person available to me.
