Getting it, in exchange for services, doesn’t mean that he got it illegally. What makes him illegally possessing it is, if his immigration status prohibits him. something the article doesn’t mention.

The Felony possession could have resulted when he pointed it at the woman and her father, falsely imprisoned them and threatened them.

What I find interesting is, if his dad is in the states, why did he get a student visa and how the hell did he get to own a tire shop.

He’s running guns out of that shop. He had handguns in his Avalanche according to the cops, at the hotel and 2 unidentified guys were with him, when he got booted.

I don’t know if Florida allows private party transfers without registration or not. In many states not going thru a FFL would make it an illegal transfer.
