Remember, McCabe is right at the center of the nexus of the small group inside DOJ using stratetic politically motivated leaking to target specific people for FBI action.
Leak stories thru media allies to create suspicion about people the FBI will then investigate.
This strategic leaking strategy was used to gin up suspicion about both Carter Page and Michael Flynn. Once Fusion GPS & other media allies had been used to successfully plant stories in the news media, McCabe & others moved to target these individuals.
The big picture is this: the Hillary Clinton campaign designed a false narrative of Trump/Russia collusion, used gov’t allies to launch media stories through strategic leaking to target the Trump campaign, & this resulted in the FBI spying on the Trump camaign.
Using middlemen like Fusion GPS as cutouts, the HRC campaign successfully managed to get the fed. gov’t to spy on it’s rival political campaign.
DNC Media hacks will continue to myopically fixate on the Trump/Russia narrative itself. They have no interest whatsoever in pulling back to explain the big picture to their readers/viewers, where this fake narrative actually came from, who launched it & by what means.
The OIG report will map out the entire scandal, how the HRC campaign got it’s rival political campaign spied on by the federal government using willing political operatives inside the DOJ & the State Dept who ended up lying to the FISC court to get surveillance warrants.
The DNC Media will keep giving Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, Carter Page & Michael Flynn extreme close up coverage as they pretend the Trump/Russia colluison narrative is alive and well, there is no scandal at all, Mueller is about to take Trump down, etc. etc.
This activity by the DNC Media doesn’t change a thing. It merely means they are going to have an extremely difficult time explaining away the OIG report when it reveals the actual scandal of the 2016 Presidential campaign
When 1 political campaign pays big $$$ to launch a false narrative that results in the fed. gov’t spying on the other political campaign in a Presidential election, you’re about 20x beyond anything in the Watergate scandal when it comes to corruption of our federal institutions.
This is not just a political scandal, this is a media scandal. Many in the media were complicit in the politically motivated strategic leaking that helped the HRC campaign launch this false narrative that resulted in investigations of Carter Page and Michael Flynn.
McCabe isn’t the only one who should be indicted and prosecuted for what he did here. The people inside the DOJ who targeted people they knew were innocent are not alone in their guilt.
Media people were willing accomplices in this.
The biggest bombshells in the OIG report when it drops is going to be how it maps out the activity of the media people involved in this. How Glenn Simpson & Christopher Steele among others helped pull this scandal off.
Remember this as you wonder why DNC Media insists on covering this scandal only one way: as if Trump/Russia collusion is real.
They cover it this one way because they are guilty. They were complicit in helping to create this scandal, and their complicity continues to this day.
Only after some like Christopher Steele are arrested and prosecuted for what they did will the DNC Media be forced to acknowledge the reality of the real scandal of the 2016 Presidendial election.
