Pres Trump at West Wing Portico to welcome Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar for traditional St. Patrick's Day observances - this year 2 days early.

"It certainly looks like the Russians were behind it," says Pres Trump of the nerve agent attack in the UK. In response to a question during photo op with the Irish PM, Pres said the the attack "should never, ever happen, and we’re taking it very seriously."

Asked if any more staff changes coming, Pres Trump said "there will always be change," but disputed a report about more changes as "a very exaggerated and false story." He praised his selection of Mike Pompeo to be next Secy of State and Larry Kudlow as chief economic advisor.

Pres welcomed Irish PM Leo Varadkar to the Oval Office for the first time. The Taoiseach said he'd be marching in the St Patrick's parade in NYC on Saturday. @POTUS said he wishes he could too. Both leaders had some shamrock in their suit pockets.

Pres Trump and VP Pence welcomed on the Capitol Steps by @SpeakerRyan and the Taoiseach as they arrive to attend traditional Friends of Ireland luncheon.

Pres Trump said he really enjoys the Friends of Ireland luncheon, making the political observation, that after today, he only six more left.

The Taoiseach told the luncheon that he once served as an intern in the Capitol. And though he's Irish with an Indian name, he was able to give "a pretty mean tour." Though he thinks some of the statues have been moved.
