POTUS choppered to Brown Field Municipal Airport and left there at
noon to motorcade to the prototype wall site, arriving around 12:15
pm. John Kelly was accompanying him.

A few dozen protesters waited near the site, some for and some against
POTUS. One held up a sign saying, “No Wall No Hate, No Trump.” Another
had one that said, “Thank you Mr. President.”

The motorcade then proceeded along a long gravel road adjacent to the
Mexican border. A wire fence to the right of the motorcade had signs
saying “Warning. No Trespassing. Restricted Area. Keep Out.” A grassy
area on the other side of the fence separates it from a metal wall. A
couple officers in cowboy hats rode horses nearby.

Pool Report #4 At the Mexican Border March 13, 2018

POTUS inspected a series of wall prototypes and talked about the need for a stronger barrier here along the border. He also took a shot at Gov. Brown, saying he was a “nice guy” who was doing “a terrible job.”

“I think Governor Brown does a very poor job running California. They have the highest taxes in the United States. The place is totally out of control. You have sanctuary cities where you have criminals living in the sanctuary cities. And then the mayor of Oakland goes out and notifies when ICE is going in to pick them up.” He added: “The governor’s doing a terrible job running the state of California.”
He noted that he owns property in the state. “The taxes are way, way out of whack and people are going to start to move pretty soon.”
At one point, protesters could be heard chanting in Spanish from the other side of the border. It was hard to hear but I’m told it was something to the effect of we don’t want a wall.
One correction from earlier: The briefer on the plane says the administration has “_asked_” the House to cut grants to sanctuary jurisdictions, not that such a proposal is already in a House bill. Apologies for the confusion.

Motorcade arrived at the RON hotel, the Intercontinental Los Angeles
Downtown, at 9 pm local time. No news from the ride, but it provided a
lovely view of the bright lights of nighttime LA as we wound back down
the hills along windy streets from the exclusive enclave of Beverly
Park.

Streets all around the hotel are closed. A small crowd of maybe 100
protesters were a block away chanting something your pool couldn’t
make out.

Your pool is staying at a separate hotel nearby. We have a lid.

One detail from earlier that I forgot: The guests at the fundraisers
were mainly dressed in business formal, though a few did not get the
memo and wore black tie. One woman cheerfully greeted your pool with a
bright “Maga!”

Motorcade finally departed the fundraiser at 8:25 pm local time. No sighting of POTUS.

Your co-pooler Brian Bennett generously offers this bit of color from the street outside the fundraiser:

The Glazer residence — a brick home painted tan with a slate-colored roof — sits at the end of a cul de sac in the Beverly Park neighborhood. Guests arrived at a staging area down the hill from the house and were brought up to the fundraiser in golf carts, passing a row if magnolia trees along the way. A large white tent was put up in the backyard of the house for the event. Tall trees line the back yard. During the event, a faint smell of marijuana seemed to waft from the yard of a mansion a few doors down.

A few more details about the Glazer house, courtesy of Zillow. Built in 2010 on 2.75 acres, it’s an eight-bedroom, 11-bath spread with 19,313 square feet, a pool and a four-car garage. It was last assessed at $22.7 million but Zillow estimates it at $30.7 million.

The motorcade arrived at the palatial Glazer home at 4:22 pm local time. Your pool did not spot POTUS and is now holding in a van with very spotty cell service. We’re told we’re going to be holding here for four hours with no access to the event.

The ride here took the motorcade past a very few scattered protesters holding handmade signs like “Trump is a Turd,” “Fuck Trump,” and “Kindness Matters.” The motorcade then headed into the 10 and then the 405, shutting down each on our side, before snaking into the hills and into the gated community where the Glazers live.

It’s overcast but the drizzle we encountered on landing at LAX has stopped.

All-—there is no way that the PA-18 election was this close.

I have to agree. Something strange is going on with these elections. First AL & now this very solid red PA district. Not to mention the other races we have lost.

Trump won by 20 points. The economy is growing like it's never grown before. Trump cuts taxes. Jobs are up. Stock market is up. Trump is bringing back steel jobs to steel country. The Dims just confirmed a couple of days ago what we all knew - they plan to raise taxes. The Dims plan to impeach Trump.

And yet we are to believe these voters want to reject all the progress we've made & go backwards? Either they are crazy, or something is going on with the voting.

Maybe the R candidates are not great, but really? People want Pelosi & Mad Maxine?

The R's need to figure out what is going wrong - either voter fraud, or something else, but they really need to pick up their game ASAP

I think you are correct. But whatever is the problem, it needs to be corrected. I can’t believe there is a TRUE blue wave coming, but there could be a FRAUD blue wave coming. These elections are just not making sense to me.
