Don’t do the crime unless you are willing to pay the price. Dealing drugs is dealing death. You seem OK with that. Shame on you!

Why stop with dealing dope. What about going after adulterers fornicators, alcoholics or the divorced. Infidelity destroys more families than dope. You can pass all the laws you want and punish the violators to the maximum extent and you won’t stop human nature. And human nature includes a percentage of the population looking for some escape from reality.
We would be better off giving the dope fiends free dope and a place to take it. After a certain point they are a lost cause anyway.
If you have never been threatened by a somewhat deranged drug dealer (one I didn’t even know), then you have no idea what you could be up against. Fortunately we put one very sick kid away for a while (hopefully to get some decent mental health help) because he threatened to kill me, my wife (neither of us knew him), my son (who was in the Army), and my daughter (who slightly knew the guy through a friend who was destroying his life on drugs. He’s basically been in jail all his adult life due to drugs).
Too many of my kids’ generation were destroyed by drug use, and some ended up in jail as dealers and thieves.
We have to get serious with the major drug dealers and rings. If it takes the death penalty (against those whose drug providing demonstratively killed people), then so be it.
The cartels killed people in the US and Latin America, until recently, with near impunity. Then we began to go after them and kill them if necessary (not like Obama’s chase and scare policies with ISIS).
Time to clean up the streets, our kids, and our schools. No more Kate Steinle’s, no more streets of Chicago, the cartel gangs of America, etc.
Take out the worst and jail the rest. Your childrens’ lives depend on it.
