what is with gangbangers and the weird guns, they are tools not status symbols.

Actually to most people they are tools

It is a Mossberg 715T. It is a plastic clamshell over a Brazilian made Mossberg 702 blowback .22 rifle.

Just a .22 rimfire made to look a little like an AR15.

They are inexpensive, but have some value for deterrence.

Deterrence is the largest use for defensive firearms.
