I agree with all of your conclusions. Apparently the stated reason for suspension was not advising their command nor advising BCSO they were responding. I absolutely believe they did the right thing, but technically the reason for suspension if the accusations are true, is legitimate.

Thank you for the reasonable conversation, and sorry if I was a little pissy earlier. Still, I think that a suspension is harsh for the SWAT trainee efforts. Maybe a notation in their file. The BCSO can spin this all they want. I see 4 cowards hearing gunshots on children and hiding, according to all reports.

The VERY LEAST the 50 something School Resources Officer (what a misnomer) could have done is crawl towards the gunfire and lit off some rounds into the ground. If close enough, the monster may have heard and may be distracted from killing more. That retirement waiting fuck, just hid and did nothing. He knew what was going on.

I say no more rent-a-cops or retired or retiring cops to guard our schools. We need ex spec-ops to protect our schools. Don't know if they'd take a cut in pay from their clandestine private companies, not to mention the thrill of the suck. Still, I'd bet there are hundreds/thousands of ex-military willing to defend our schools for minimal pay or none, just to contribute more.

At 68, although in good shape and fairly healthy, I doubt I would be considered. But if the local recruiting started tomorrow for my local school, I'd be in line. I can hold a weapon and know how to shoot it. I would also not ignore a known problem person approaching a school with a duffel bag in hand. Sheesh, did that I screw up or what?
