We've had a war on drugs for decades and it's just gotten worse. IMHO, we need to go to the source, send our military into Central America to team up with their militaries and declare an all out war on the drug cartels and wipe them out completely.

My brother-in-law is from Honduras and the drug crime there is so bad they won't even vacation there anymore. His niece has a grown daughter who married into a very wealthy family and they won't travel anywhere without armed security down there.

Believe we been there, done that. The only ones that benefited were the CIA and the US Government as importers. The Government does not want to stop the drug trade nor the open borders that facilitate it.

No kidding. I’d start farther north with Mexico. Clean out all the corruption so the average Mexican no longer wants to flee his own country. I’ve thought this for years. These wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, among others IMO are such a waste of our military folks lives not to mention resources. The real threat is south of the border. Start at the Rio Grande, move all the way to the bottom of South America.
