Republicans immediately should put up a bill that raises the age to 21 to buy a weapon and 21 to vote in the United States. I would be very interested to see where this would go.

“Jeff Sessions was Pres. Trump’s biggest mistake.”

I tend to agree with you. And I started out thinking that Sessions was his greatest cabinet pick! I soon changed my mind on that.

Hey, PA 18:

Elect Conor Lamb and THIS is what you’re gonna get!

I personally think that Sessions was Trump’s third choice.

#1 was likely Rudy. He has battled health problems in recent years, and there are nagging, persistent rumors of a sex scandal skeleton in his closet which the media would no doubt dig-up and parade around like it was the top story of all time.

#2 was probably Chris Christie, who shot himself in both feet and his substantial arse by dragging lobbyists into the transition and forcing Trump to fire him.

"Jones knows he’s a one term Senator."

Yup.. Absolutely nothing can save him.

Jones has his eye fixed on the middle of the political spectrum and hopes the gun debate can be a harbinger of greater bipartisan efforts on other issues

He chose...poorly.

Trump should have selected Larry Klayman but he needed to pay Sessions off for the loyal campaign support. Now he’s stuck with Jeff til at least after the midterms. If we pick up enough senate seats he might have enough political capital to dump him. Otherwise IMO Trump is stuck with Sessions for the first term.

Jones will only be there’s for two years then another Republican will run against him and win.

This SCUM deserves everything that will happen to him in the upcoming civil war. He is a domestic enemy of the Constitution of the US and of Alabama. We Alabamians WILL NOT COMPLY with gun banning and confiscation.

I don't care if ALL OF THEM could have been "prevented" by infringing the rights of 18-21 year olds. It's WRONG.

We can prevent all school shootings by murdering all children in America before birth (we're nearly there!) also, but that is also an evil option.

People that think this kind of infringement is going to be simply obeyed this time are WRONG. They want gun violence? they're going to see it when they go for bans and confiscation.

I DID NOT ELECT HIM.

I WAS ONE OF THE FEW NON-DEMONRATS THAT WENT TO THE POLLS.

Jeff Sessions has nothing to do with this. Ex-Gov. Robert Bentley had a whole slew of respectable Conservatives to choose from and he picked the unethical AG Strange who covered Bentley’s ass. All Bentley had to do was pick someone without baggage, and they’d still be in that seat today. Thank Bentley for Doug Jones.

Thanks Jeff

No, thank Richard Shelby. He is the one most responsible. Hope Alabama voters will remember.

"Jones was finished the day he was elected. The GOP will run someone against him in 2020 that is a solid conservative with no baggage and he will lose by 40% plus."

Keep dreaming. Now that the democrats see how easy it was to defeat a republican in a deep red state simply by paying a few women to make some accusations, the GOP is toast. The republicans in Alabama basically got beat by Gloria Allred's daughter. Like taking candy from a baby. Alabama republicans can pound sand and turn in their guns.
