NRA says between 1.25 Million - 2.5 Million instances per year where someone used a firearm to stop a crime and save a life. This includes showing a firearm as well as firing it.

I’m not disputing the figure; it’s just that I didn’t know it was that high.

Glad to know that people are protecting themselves, but not that there are that many crimes.
