A number of years ago, “The Untouchables” was on in my locale (our version of the History Channel, IIRC). Was neat to watch some of the guest stars on, including Telly Savalas and before he adopted his shaved head look (he was already thinning by about 1959 or thereabouts when that particular episode was made). That’s one title among others that I’d like to see more often on the nostalgia channels as opposed to the others that seem to be shown all the time, to the point that it is annoying.
We also used to watch reruns of “Untouchables.” Great music, and effective in black and white.
The Untouchables were Treasury, right? When did the FIB appropriate their reputation?
(And are you aware that Frank Nitti was the godlessfather of Rules for Radicals?)
Telly’s episode sounds like the “Matt Bass Scheme” to pump booze into Chicago via a covert pipeline with the help of Milton Selzer.
I like the Quinn Martin shows since they introduced the guest stars.
Most of the DVDs are around here.
