Last night I watched Paper Heads, a 1995 documentary about Communism in what was then Czechoslovakia. It mixed propaganda films from the regime with testimony from people who had been tortured in communist prisons, or whose relatives had been abused in some way by the state. It was a crude but very powerful film. All that talk about brotherhood and shared prosperity and justice concealed cruelty, injustice, and murder of those who stood between the Party and Paradise. The most chilling part of the film, at least to me, were the clips of the 1950s show trials. The rhetoric from the judges and prosecutors, and the narration by the state media announcer, denounced the accused as traitors, parasites, enemies of the people, and so forth. And these poor people, dignified but clearly in terror, confessed to their crimes and received the death penalty. Only in this way could the workers paradise be built, or so it was claimed by the communists in the film.
Just now I read David Brookss column today about how progressives are winning the culture war. Brooks had recommended earlier a moderate approach to advancing gun control, beginning with treating gun owners with respect. He now concedes that he might have been wrong about that. Excerpt:
Wow
What they have done:
1) Taken over the educational institutions
2) TaKen over the hierarchies of major Christian churches, to wit - Roman Catholic, Anglican/Episcopal, Nethodist, ECLA, Presbyterians
3) Seized control of nearly every major news organ
4) Control the entertainment industry
All of thus without a single shot being fired. Not because they are RIGHT, but because they are dedicated and focused and inapologetic.
The part of this article attacking Trump is PURE BULL $***. It makes question the author of th u s piece.
The Left commands the cultural heights and we’re on a sustained slide into a dark night.
Going forward, conservatives will be the islands of light in this dark night.
And the light shone through the darkness and the darkness could not overcome it.
The strength of our values and our devotion to our faith will be our salvation and the ultimate salvation of the world.
Yes, didn’t like the anti-Trump stuff but even with that he can see the terrible path we’re on.
We must strengthen it locally, within our family, neighborhood, community and local institutions as much as possible.
Many corporations are jumping onboard with their slobbering pushes for LGBT celebration.
There is a lot to be said about education. Here there’ reference to white tribalism... and MAGA.
MAGA has its own culture heritage and root in the Magna Carta. All WHITE western European mans successes are founded in Christianity. This by the way was shared with the rest of the planet.
Nobody else did it, nor did they have the developmental path.
What we are witnessing is an overpowering by a marxist-muslim coalition and their agenda, both which never accomplished shit... just attacks on productive people and productive cultures.
What is needed is to go back to the basics in education and start with the facts as to what made whitey successful when all others failed.
And “universal day acre” is one more milestone towards total dominance of the family unit by the state.

The board is the tool of the the communists. Sort of like Ellsworth Toohey, a board can be gradually taken over and then a bureaucracy underneath can be taken over under it. A board like a school board ruins democracy because it hides what members of the board do. If there is one person in charge you can fight him. You can vote him out of office. But if there are 9 people in charge of a board. Who knows why they always seem to get it wrong.
Civil servants are similar. When one party can be in control long enough they can move their civil servants to power positions then they run things as they like. For example the IRS or the FBI or DOJ, these have all been organized to have democrat partisans lock out republicans and their ideas.
Guns are not the only thing holding democracy in place. WHile they are important, remember there are lots of human rights, like speech and the press, both are in jeopardy.
So, get this straight: a former Southern governor and ordained Southern Baptist minister was forced off the board of a Nashville-based country music philanthropy because he supports traditional marriage. Look, I think Mike Huckabee, who I supported in the 2008 GOP primaries, has made a fool of himself with his Trumpishness, but when he is not permitted to serve on a country music board because he is a traditional Christian on the subject of gay marriage, then cultural conservatives like me and you, reader had better pay attention. We might be more winsome (I hate that word) than Mike Huckabee, but we are no different in the eyes of the left-wing militants. I have been resisting this conclusion hard for a long time, but I can see with each passing day that it is becoming untenable. You dont have to like Donald Trump, Mike Huckabee, or any of that populist tribe to understand that they are not coming for your job, and they are not trying to drive you out of decent society.Yes, this guy reeks of something squishy and unpleasant.
Dreher published a book that expanded upon the themes of this manifesto, Crunchy Cons: How Birkenstocked Burkeans, Gun-Loving Organic Gardeners, Evangelical Free-Range Farmers, Hip Homeschooling Mamas, Right-Wing Nature Lovers, and Their Diverse Tribe of Countercultural Conservatives Plan to Save America (or At Least the Republican Party).Well, I guess that explains it. What a dweeb. A man can't go through life with a permanent butt clench. Go put some pants on simpering idiot.
Such was not always true in America.
The following is an excerpt from the "Centennial Thanksgiving Sermon" (1886) (celebrating America's 100th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence) by a Black Ohio Legislator and A.M.E. Bishop Benjamin W. Arnett on "The Greatness of America" - Note that this Sermon is delivered only a few years after the end of the Civil War by this outstanding scholar/legislator/Bishop.
"Let us see what it is that makes us so great; wherein lies our strength. What has made us one of the greatest powers of the earth, politically and intellectually? Have we come to the conclusion that it is Righteousness that exalteth a nation? We have met to-day at the request of the President of the United States, Ulysses S. Grant, and also the Governor of our beloved State, Rutherford B. Hayes. For what? Why call us from our homes? Why come to the house of God? Why not go to the hall of mirth and to the places of amusement to-day? No that is not what they want us to do. We are commanded to go to our 'several places of worship, and there offer up thanks to Kind Providence which has brought our nation through the scenes of another year, and blessed the land with peace, plenty and prosperity.' Then as Americans we have reason to rejoice and congratulate ourselves on the greatness of our beloved country; at this the close of the first hundred years of experimental government of the people, by the people, and for the people. To be a citizen of this vast country is something, and to share in its privileges and duties is more than something." - Dr. Benjamin W. Arnett, 1876 "Centennial Thanksgiving Sermon" - Library of Congress - African-American SectionIf current generations of youth in America go to the LOC web site and read this lengthy Address by a remarkable Black scholar of history, Ohio State Legislator, and A.M.E. Bishop, who had lived through the years surrounding the Civil War, then their perspective might be enhanced, enlarged and encouraged by their pride in such an intellectual giant from America's history. Progressives talk a lot about "diversity." By the term "diversity," Progressives mean "diversity" of anything and everything except freedom of conscience, freedom of expression of ideas which differ from the "Progressive" agenda for "changing" America from adherence and devotion to the ideas of liberty outlined in its Declaration of Independence and structured into its Constitution for self-government.
Shame on them and all whom they control through fear!
The things we are witnessing are the consequences of decades of Progressive academic and government "elitists'" indoctrination of America away from its founding principles in the ideas of liberty and toward the cultish and oppressive ideology of Progressivism, an ideology which demands complete submission to "progressive" regressives who believe they are entitled, and were appointed, to rule over everyone else. A society where Progressives rule is a society where the ideas of liberty have been subordinated to the ideas of tyranny.
Thomas Jefferson, only days before his death on July 4, 1826, explaining his inability to attend a gathering to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Declaration, wrote to Roger Weightman:
"I should, indeed, with peculiar delight, have met and exchanged there congratulations personally with the small band, the remnant of that host of worthies, who joined with us on that day, in the bold and doubtful election we were to make for our country, between submission or the sword; and to have enjoyed with them the consolatory fact, that our fellow citizens, after half a century of experience and prosperity, continue to approve the choice we made. may it be to the world, what I believe it will be, (to some parts sooner, to others later, but finally to all) the Signal of arousing men to burst the chains, under which monkish ignorance and superstition had persuaded them to bind themselves, and to assume the blessings & security of self-government. That form which we have substituted, restores the free right to the unbounded exercise of reason and freedom of opinion. All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man. the general spread of the light of science has already laid open to every view. the palpable truth, that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favored few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately, by the grace of god. These are grounds of hope for others. for ourselves, let the annual return of this day forever refresh our recollections of these rights, and an undiminished devotion to them." (Jefferson, June 24, 1826, to Roger Weightman, End of Jefferson quotation)

THE NAKED COMMUNIST: 45 COMMUNIST GOALS
Wake up America!
Well, as long as most conservatives flatly refuse to become teachers, and do nothing but heap abuse on teachers all day, every day, it’s not going to change. A lot of FReepers seem to think if they hiss loud enough, liberals will change. Liberals will not change. We have to get into their spheres of influence and fight.
If said loud enough, often enough, and at every opportunity, ‘branding’ the people you hate as ‘racist, homophobe, transphobic, mentally ill, etc” will take on a life of its own, meaning the lie becomes truth. At this point, the people so branded become “untouchable” because “delegitimized.” In other words, they become pariahs. This is the forthcoming “victory” over Conservatives/Christians foreseen by David Brooks.
Thank you!
