[snip] "In the wake of this shooting we have reviewed our policy on firearm sales, and we will no longer be selling guns or ammunition to anyone under the age of 21"

LL Bean sels guns and ammo? I never even thought of them as a place for that.
oh well boycott list getting bigger.
How soon until these companies are sued, and by ACLU?
I have never hear they sold anything but clothing.
Maybe they have branded tampons, too?
Can an 18 year-old possess a rifle if he cant buy one?
Tell that to the cake baker who said he would not bake a cake. Trust me they are going to get sued and for good reason.
If he/she gained possession legally, I believe he/she can possess it even if not allowed to purchase.
Example, being given a gun from family or friends either for a temporary purpose or permanently.
They can buy one so yes they can possess. Age is 18 for long guns. If these companies dont want to sell to anyone under 18 their option is to not sell long guns and thats it. The second someone walks in who is 18 and they refuse to sell they are illegally discriminating.
I live in Maine, and there are a few L. L. Bean stores nearby....in Ellsworth and Bangor, Maine.
I’ve seen knives in these stores, but not firearms of any kind.
More and more of the items they sell are made in China, with the resulting degradation in quality.
L. L. Bean has a huge, sprawling stores in Freeport, in southern Maine; I haven’t been in there in years, so maybe that’s where they sell firearms.
Years ago, they had displays of antique hunting and fishing gear that once belonged to Leon Leonwood Bean in their flagship Freeport store; not for sale, of course.
Definitely not a New Jersey store!
I have 2 LL Bean rifle cases and I even have an LL Bean pistol rug (the latter purchased at the Freeport store from their closeout bin -- 30 years ago!) I haven't ever seen LL Bean sell pistol cases in their catalog or website -- ever. They have been virtue signaling since before it became fashionable.
From what I can find, car rental companies in 49 states can refuse to rent to drivers younger than 25 (the single exception is New York). So I don't know why a store couldn't refuse to sell a gun to someone because of their age.
The Constitution should be amended so that you have to turn 21 in order to be able to vote. Why not? At least thats being consistent.
No. They are "conspiring to deny a civil right" protected by law to 18-21 year-olds.
Even Napolitano on fox said they may be within their right to discriminate or they may not. Either way lawsuits a coming for sure. I just would not want to be Walmart when a women gets raped after they refuse to sell her a shotgun.
“I can make a capitalist sell me the rope today that I will use to hang him tomorrow “
Saul Alenskye.
( Or something very similar)
Have the sub-21 crowd show up in uniform to inquire purchase of a long gun at these virtue-signal prone storefronts. Discretely video document the encounter for Bit-chute, assuming it won’t stay posted to YouTube. Work the messaging systems for promotion and discussion.
Qx posted a couple of tweets zinging them for their stupidity. History has shown that rising tyranny always kills their earliest supporters FIRST after rising to power. They realize that such useful idiots are too stupid and too trustworthy to support the new regime.
And to think, I bought my first rifle
at the age of 12, from a Sears&Roebuck
catalog.
Yeah, just like voter registration age requirements.
You hit the nail on the head
The state will pay Walmart for the
food boxes. They’ll get their $
either way. They may make even more,
as there will probably be a
delivery/distribution clause written
into the government contract. Who Will
lose from this are cigarette and
alcohol sales, along with drug dealers.
One good benefit from this will be the
ability of the recipient to get items like
toothpaste, toilet paper, deodorant, which
are non food items and are not legal for
sale with an EBT card. Which by the way,
is part of the reason for EBT fraud.
My mom raised 5 kids on food stamps
while going to college (to be able to get
off food stamps) We needed a lot of toilet
paper.
