Yep...a lot smarter. The guy in the movie was only an actor (even though people use his picture to portray a stereotypical inbred hillbilly!) and had to work for a living and probably support a family.
Hogg is just a twit.
Lefties keep pushing for a war, but they don’t seem to realize real war doesn’t consist of Twitter battles and debates on MSNBC. Like you, I don’t want to see a civil war either. I think people who wish for it really need to give it thought.
It it ever happens, it will be so horrible that part way through, we will all wonder if there could have been a way to avoid it...and will wish we had.

I’m not a big Alex Jones fan, per se, but he reminds me of the 80s when I was stationed in Texas getting regular mailings from the John Birch Society. I used to read their stuff and think, “You’ve gotta be kidding me, that’ll never happen!” After 20 years in the Army, having served in some real shitholes, 11 years with the FBI and DOJ, and a 15-month stint in the Bush White House, I don’t look at things quite that way anymore...

Don’t recall seeing a lot of “debates” on MSNBC, but then I don’t watch it either. I do, however, recall quite a few mutual masturbation sessions among liberals from the clips I’ve seen.

I do indeed, that’s why I shared the image, lol. Barbara Babcock and a voice actor who did all sorts of other work on other TOS episodes (believe it was not James Doohan though) who played Trelane’s parents in that scene.

Interesting aside — it is canon that Trelayne was actually a very young Q, from the Q continuum. The Q parents were the ‘normal’ Q entities, as opposed to Q that harassed Picard so much. In fact, that Q got in trouble with the rest of the Q race for that. Interesting. Had never considered that.
