Parkland school shooting survivor David Hogg says he will not return to Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School until more gun control is passed. Hogg made the comments Sunday during a gun control rally held at Temple B’nai Abraham in Livingston, New Jersey.
The New York Daily News reports that Hogg said, “I’m not going back to school on Wednesday until one bill is passed.” He did not specify which law he wants most, only that he is not going back until at least one law garners the support of lawmakers.
He said, “Literally any legislation at this point would be a success. Considering the fact that so few legislators in Florida met with us and they want the people to forget, that’s disgusting. The fact that they want people to forget about this and elect them again as the child murderers they are, that’s unacceptable and we’re not going to let that happen.”
To date, state-level gun control proposals include “tougher background checks,” a bump stock ban, a waiting period for long gun purchases, raising minimum age for rifle purchases to 21-years old, and gun confiscation orders similar to California’s Gun Violence Restraining Orders. All of these gun controls were proposed last week by Florida Gov. Rick Scott (R) and not a single one of them would have prevented the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

Though admittedly I am much more familiar with private day and boarding school, year books, I DO know about public school ones too! And I know what my mother's, my, and my progeny's year books all look like...which are from 4 different states and three different generations/eras.
If you look at the year book picture of the Hogg, you will see it is just a picture of him and other kids...no quote, no future plans, no special, song, fav book, no college plans...nothing,nada,zero. This is the way CLASS PICTURES of non-Seniors are placed in high school year books, with the names at the bottom of the page in a lump.
No, no, noooooooooooooooooo...he refuses to “work” until he gets what he wants, when he wants it! The poor baby has probably never been told “NO” in his life.
I looked for David Hogg on Classmates.com yesterday, and there was no David Hogg at Redondo Beach. There were a bunch of David Hoggs.
Didn’t make it to the bottom of the article, but it sounds like Hogg could have gone to Redondo High School.
Had to look it up...used to be called “drama queens”??
I couldn’t find David Hogg at Redondo High School at Classmates.com, but interesting that the link showing that is gone now.

I graduated HS in ‘60. All photos were the same size and there was not all of that BS you said accompanied the Sr.’s photos. School was near 800 students and Seniors were around 440. ...Grades 10-12.
Different school districts and school populations may be the difference between our experiences.
