Just watched video of one of the teachers, the one who saw the shooter in “full metal garb” talking about her experience. At one point after the shooting stopped she says she can hear kids in the hall screaming for help but they are trained to hunker down and keep the door locked. Then it apparently took 45 min to an hour before swat showed up banging on her door.
Can you imagine your child being shot up, stuck bleeding in a hallway at school not able to move, all doors closed to them, no adults to help or comfort while they are possibly dying, for almost an hour? Horrible.
I was noticing THAT as the shooting was unfolding. Strong parents being told NOT to go into the school. Stand around for hours while the cops try to find their asses with both hands and a flashlight, while your kid is bleeding to death less than 100 yrds away!(?). If one of my kids was in there, they would have had another problem keeping me out.
Supposedly they learned from Columbine that there can’t be any delays in entering the building. Also, EMTs enter behind law enforcement as a team..
Something is so messed up about everything the sheriff is saying. He’s full of sh*t.
