WE need a real conservative turnout in this year’s primary. Since Texas is not closed primary, the Democrats are really organized and motivated to cause trouble. They are running a big government guy against our very conservative Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick. In Texas LG has most power to get things done. Public school boards, teachers, administrators are all up in arms and have been told Patrick is the reason their health insurance has gone up and they feel threatened by vouchers and retirement,Patrick’s push for property tax restraint, etc. They run ads saying Patrick hates teachers. It’s emotional scare tactics but I am afraid it is working. County governments are similarly fearful of having their money restricted. I know the extreme increase in health insurance has them in a bind but instead of pushing Congress and Senate to repeal and replace they whine about state gov not getting into Obamacare exchange.
There are moderates running against strong conservatives and vice-versa.
Vote! Tell conservatives to vote!
You ought to see the ads from this absolute pajama boy slimebag named Ed Meier. I think hes in the Democrat primary to try to unseat Pete Sessions. He is running against Donald Trump in his ad. He proudly touts being a part of the Obama administration and says his main goal is to go to Washington to defend Obamacare. In one ad, he smarmly says, My daughter asked me, Daddy, will Donald Trump really do the mean things he says? I thought bullies didnt win! I want to fly through the TV and beat his skinny, ugly ass!
There is actually a lot less risk of democrat crossover than usual. A heavily contested Democrat race for governor (polls show a chance for a runoff between the Mexican lesbian and the White man); a lot of empty congressional seats on the table, even a lightly contested race for senate on the Democrat side all suggest that the Dems will stay on their side of the booth this year.
The big threat, as always, is the Country Club/CoC crowd.
