Florida Shooting: Why Is This One Different?
The Truth About Guns ^ | 02/25/18 | Robert Farago

Posted on 02/25/2018 12:05:53 PM PST by Simon Green

When the Newtown spree killer mowed down 20 children six and seven year olds and six adults, the call for federal gun control reached a fever pitch. It was thwarted in the final furlong by lovers of firearms freedom, galvanized into action by the legislative threat to firearms freedom. This time, after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School slaughter we have a Republican-controlled House and Senate and a Republican in the White House. And yet we’re seeing momentum for expanding [unconstitutional] background checks, raising the minimum age for a long gun purchase and Presidential support for due-process-denying “gun violence restraining orders.”

At the same, firearms freedom restoration — in the form of The Hearing Protection Act and The Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act — are stuck in development hell.

What’s going on? What’s so different about this mass shooting aftermath as compared to the others that triggered former Second Amendment champions to Rubio to the forces of civilian disarmament?

Is it a cumulative effect: Vegas, Sutherland Springs, Parkland? Is it the mainstream media’s love fest with the ignorant teenagers demanding that the government curtail or eliminate their civil right to keep and bear arms? The fact that Donald Trump is our president?

You’d think the fact that the failure of multiple government agencies (including school authorities) to intercept the killer multiple times would make this spree killing less a focal point for gun control. But it sure doesn’t seem that way.

Are we losing ground here? If so, why now?

Because people look for simple solutions to complex problems. And simple solutions are seldom effective.

I have been convinced for some time now that all of these "mass" shootings are basically the same.

A bunch of innocent people get killed in a Gun Free Zone and no one saw it coming. The law enforcement and investigative authorities (FBI, state and local police and sheriffs) fall down on the job. The perpetrator is either killed or is an obvious nut job.

And most importantly, in my judgment, is the immediate shift in the national dialogue to gun control and so-called gun "safety"(like a mass shooter somehow needs a safety class in firearms) and rage towards the NRA, usually by the same predictable liberal, democRATS players.

Each occurrence seems to escalate the "conversation" on controlling guns towards a more and more hyper level.

And then almost as fast as it occurred, the news will move on to something else and the drive to "do something" dissipates. The outcry over the deaths and guns eventually fades and quiets down.

Wash, rinse and repeat. It's the same for each one, whether it occurs at a school, a rock concert, a movie theater, a night club, a mall or an Army base, it doesn't matter. The same cycle occurs.

So I ask myself, why would this be the case? Where all of these events are almost choreographed to play out and support a narrative? Who would benefit from something like this?

The only answer is that these are planned events and they are choreographed and all end at the same place---"We need to do something about guns!" The Left is using these events, like Fast and Furious", to eventually justify banning guns in America.

This is their long-term agenda. They are the only ones to benefit from the mass killings. Mere collateral damage by the Left. The ends justify the means. For politics and power. This is just Rules for Radicals squared.

These events aren't random events perpetrated by random crazy souls. They all fit too well into the narrative playbook. The Deep State cabal with the whimpering, compliant media promoting it, are behind this agenda.

I can just see a Soros-type character playing the whole thing out like a puppeteer to the tune of Saul Alinsky.

I feel like this one is better organized by outside groups - like it is been planned for a while.

You nailed it. They had a coordinated, multi-step plan in place, waiting for this opportunity. At least for now, America's enemies are still outplaying us on this issue. We need to win this one, even though it will be difficult.

Has anyone explained yet how Cruz gained entry into the building with his weapon?__________________

I have pondered this question. Did someone leave the door open for him? Even here in the Big Empty people can’t just walk into a school.

So who did that? My suspicion would be Hogg. He has clearly prepared for all of this.

Yes, indeed. IT buggers the imagination. And no one is talking about any of it...the illogical conclusions are deafening.

It does not really matter what they do. Their failure will be epic.

He just walked right in.... AFTER THE SRO saw him get out of the vehicle, Identified him as a prohibited person, carrying a backpack and dufflebag, and said that he was walking purposefully toward the school building.

Read the deposition, and discussion thereof on this thread:

"Because this one illustrates quite clearly how total and complete government incompetence and apathy allowed it to occur."
Apathy? is that the right word?
Because it is looking more and more like "intent" might be the proper word.

That has been in the back of my mind. As Simon Green posted in #5 " In other countries, they have led to civilian disarmament."

Shootings such as Dunblane in the UK and Port Arthur in Austrailia were so horrific that the appalled population willingly stampeded into banning handguns (UK) and semi-auto rifles (Oz).

Right now, I'm treating Parkland as a Pearl Harbor type of FUBAR - widespread incompetence as the cause. HOWEVER, it wouldn't take much more to have me firmly affix my tinfoil hat. The reason being that a similar public revulsion (now being fanned by the Media) over so many school kids dying, would lead to an "assault weapon" ban. A planned "event" is well within the ability, let alone intent of the Left.

The "Break eggs to make an omelet" thingy.

I would propose that they knew it was coming and let it happen. That’s “why” for the “Drill” earlier in the day. They were hoping it wouldn’t be bad but if id did end up worse then that is what it is.

Gut feeling, start to finish, this was an inside setup. Just too many plusses for them and their always turning a crisis to their advantage, for it not to be.

Yes, but the actors overplayed their parts and Sheriff Israel is too dumb and egotistical to shut up and fall on his sword.

This one isn’t working.

There will have to be another sacrifice of innocents.

Sometime before November, I expect.

Yea I re-watched it and caught that. I am sure Hogg will say he just stated the time wrong. Someone needs to find the others in the video and start a line of questions.
