David Hogg's family is very political. Apparently his mother posted this on Facebook after President Trump's election:
"I can’t be silent any more. I tried to be respectful during the elections. I can’t sit by and do nothing with what is going on currently in the USA. It’s horrifying. If you like what Trump is currently doing please unfriendly or block me because you won’t like what I am going to begin posting."
It is sad to see people sacrificing personal relationships in favor of political objectives. That leads to more polarization in society, and doesn't lead to a better world for young people.
In fact it leads to a society where people are waiting for a tragedy in order to use it for political theater.
Many posting here are being led by the media/Liberal propaganda machine, into reacting in anger against "wet behind the ears KIDS", which turns YOU into the bad guy.... instead of turning it on the ADULTS who are using (and abusing) PTSD traumatized kids for political objectives.
You want to beat their "machine"? Refuse to react the way they want you to.....and start promoting questions like.... what kind of "caring adults" throw their traumatized children onto the TV circuit hours after they witnessed their friends dying?
Why aren't they focused on getting these kids professional help instead..... since we've all heard about the horrible consequences of PTSD?
Why aren't the adults being "responsible" by handling the policy debate and protecting their traumatized children from all the stress and possible insults?
Believe it or not....even some of my more Liberal leaning acquaintances (who pay no attention to political games) are starting to respond, in an interesting way, to those type questions....
