Lindsey is getting a bit ‘long in the tooth’ and she’s an injury waiting to happen. Every time she practiced/got down the hill in Olympic competition, the announcers were commenting that she made it without falling/getting injured. I have no problem with acknowledging the fact that men/women are for the most part very different in size/strength, etc. The men will mop up the downhill with her if she tries to compete with them. Vonn competing with the men is a publicity stunt & nothing more.
Do men and women run the same course in downhill? Their times are comparable.
Now I’ve been on skis only one night - my sense of it was that you crouch and start accelerating...so I’m not surprised there’s not a huge difference in the times.
