Only if President Trump sits it out is right. If they went head to head in OH the President would beat him by 20 points!

Although {40th P.O.T.U.S.} Presidential candidate Ronald Reagan did not campaign in the home state of Presidential candidate Walter Mondale of Minnesota.

Reagan wanted to, but his staff convinced him he would lose anyway, so why not just save the money. Boy were they wrong.

It was close, as in Walter Mondale of Minnesota 49.72%, Reagan 49.54% in Minnesota, and never entered the State of Minnesota.
