If he set up a perimeter, how did the shooter get away? Not much of a perimeter.
Haha, 1 man perimeter? You cant make this sh1t up...
Did he at least have two radios?
He set up a perimiter, because as in the case of the Orlando 'Pulse' shooting,
the 'perp' was shot and killed as he was exiting the building, while trying to take out other victims.
Incidentally, the shooter 'ditched' the AR inside the school
and exited the building in the chaos, along with other students.
I believe he was arrested later, after lunching at a SubWay sandwich shop, by a deputy who was snakeing his way through the adjoining neighborhood.
At the time of the arrest, the 'perp' was still wearing his maroon tee shirt and black jeans; so SRO Scott Peterson's description of the 'perp' was accurate,
and ultimately led to the 'perp's arrest.
“If he set up a perimeter, how did the shooter get away? Not much of a perimeter.”
Maybe you didn’t see the article, but once the police knew what was going on, they fired up their trusty video feed from the school and were able to watch things real-time as they approached the shooter.
...only problem - being a public school, they were not about to let anyone have live video of what goes on in there, including the police. So the video had a 20 minute delay...something that the police only figured out later.
If he set up a perimeter, how did the shooter get away? Not much of a perimeter.
Agreed. A perimeter of one armed coward keeping watch from behind a car is, by definition, a very inadequate perimeter. I suspect he thinks he may also have surrounded the suspect.
