This would not be happening if Trump were not President.
Than you for the respect you are showing Rev Graham, Mr President. He will have been proud to call you President
The family farm, where my mom still lives, was built in 1830. The door from the parlor to outside is extra wide to accommodate coffins. Many of my family were laid out there. Most of them were born in that house, too.
Maybe it is not quite an altar call with “Just As I Am” playing, but the Gospel is presented.
Precious (important and no light matter) in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints (His loving ones). (Psalm 116:15 AMP)

I was at the library yesterday and it is quite something to go through. Saw them filming this video.
Billy Graham deserves this honor. He has been councilor to every President from Truman to Trump
I was at one of his Crusades in the late ‘50s or early ‘60s in Buffalo. I barely remember it; I was young.
That’s awesome. We’re you with your parents?
My dad helped set up the tent for the 1950 Portland Oregon Crusade. I was in the womb ;)
My middle son was saved at a Crusade.
When you go through the library you really begin to see the scope of how God used this man. He personally, through crusades, preached the Gospel to over 200 million people in his lifetime.
He was like the men of renoun in the Bible. A John the Baptist. Yet he never understood the fame and his son Franklin said his dad would probably not like all the hoopla over his death.
Thanks for the ping
“Thats awesome. Were you with your parents?”
Yes; I was with my parents. Dad was a minister and a several people from the church went as a group. I remember George Beverly Shea singing more than the preaching. :) Also Cliff Barrows leading the singing. Nothing like thousands of people singing hymns in four-part harmony. Heavenly!
Amen! What a wonderful memory. Those heavenly choirs...made me emotional every time I heard “Just as I Am”
I miss the old hymns. Four part harmony in churches is sadly a relic.
I’ll be there!

We still bring lots of food.
I got to see Pope John Paul II. Never got to see Rev. Billy Graham. I would love to have seen him. Two of very few people that I would definitely like to see.
Well that should make a lot of heads explode in D.C.! I hope hes well-guarded.
...
Hopefully at the Washington Post after publishing such a disrespectful article on the day of his passing.

Good catch. I was thinking palpable but wrote palatable. Thanks!
FROM Franklin Graham:
Yesterday afternoon my fathers body was brought from the funeral home to the Billy Graham Training Center at The Cove in Asheville, NC. His simple plywood casket, like my mothers, was hand built by convicted murderers at the Angola Prison in Louisiana about twelve years ago and seems to suit him. We have a Bible with him in the casket, and the casket is directly behind a pulpit. We felt this was symbolic since he stood behind a pulpit most of his life preaching the Gospel. Billy Graham preached about Heaven, wrote books about Heavennow he is IN Heaven. His faith has become sight
Thank you—I was just about to post this very thing.
A good and faithful servant to the end.
