Point 1: Never rely on social services. The Branch Davidians knew and some surviving members admitted it.
Point 2: Accepted. The feds were there to make a statement, pure and simple. I’m skeptical about the package with the grenade that just happened to come open, too.
Point 3: Koresh set those fires. You admitted that he spread fuel, and people inside confirmed it. As the FBI agent in charge said, they just got tired of dealing with Koresh’s bullshit and they weren’t going to just fence the compound off and make it a permanent prison. At some point, it did have to end.
Koresh ingrained his followers to believe that their days would end at the hands of the federal government, and then he proceeded to do everything he could to make that come true.
Really? Those same Davidians who got payouts from the Government? They said nothing until years later, none of them said anything in the immediate aftermath, even though Koresh was very dead.
Then the warrant was invalid and the ATF, should have never been at that residence. If that’s the case, everything that happened after is directly the fault of the government.
So the FBI “getting tired” of someone’s perceived bullshit is a reason to launch an illegal assault on a private residence? I wonder if the FBI will get tired of the bullshit that occurs in the City of Chicago and go clean out the hood? Or get tired of the Bullshit in (Islamic) Dearborn, Michigan, where we know honor killings have occurred.
The same folks were on the ground in Waco, that killed Randy Weaver’s Wife with a bullet to the head, while she held a baby in her arms. I’m not believing the FBI as far as I can throw them and I spent 15 years in Law Enforcement.
Finally, whatever Koresh was or was not, he did not start any of this. The Davidians didn’t attack the government, the government attacked them.
