In 30 years I have never received a call to have someone take a poll and ask me what I think. I think people are just snatching answers from the blue sky.

OTOH, over that same period, i’ve been called more than once by Quinnipiac, and once by Rasmussen.
We’ve also been included numerous times by some others, including Gallup; that’s not counting the various push-polls & scams.
Have also twice been included in Nielsen Ratings data collection.
