The Air Force has always been a brigade of wimps and as close to cushy civilian life/ weekend warrior status as one can get. No hate in those comments just unadulterated truth.
When my father was slogging through the mud of Italy in 1944, where they mostly slept on the ground and ate rations, he had leave from the front for a few days and went to visit a friend who was a fighter pilot, stationed at an airbase south of the line. The pilots slept in tents with wooden platforms (not unlike a pallet), ate food in a dining tent on real dishes, which was served to them. He was shocked at the AF privileges.
Does that include the thousands of airmen who lost their lives over Europe, Vietnam or in the Pacific?
We need the Air Force and the Navy to raise the cumulative IQ of our Armed Force’s,otherwise the IQ is about 79.
My service was as honorable as yours, Jarhead.

You mean wimps like my Dad, who flew in WW2, Korea & Vietnam, and who died at 49 in Vietnam?
