I think the San Jose Mission down river has a lot of indigenous memorabilia if someone wanted THAT part of history. The Alamo does need to focus on the famous battle that took place there. There isn;t that much room to add displays actually.

I've read that they've acquired many of the tourist trap building (Ripley's Believe it or Not) etc. across the street and around the present Alamo. The plan was to enlarge the "foot print" to the original Alamo grounds. This months Texas Monthly magazine has a good article on this and the political race.
NO to Bush. He refused to attend town hall meetings, called it a race for "dog catcher" and spent lots of time out of state campaigning for his father during the Presidential race.
