The Founding Fathers would NOT have included the 2nd Amendment if they had known a rifle like the AR15 would eventually been available.

That’s been their talking point for decades. First, it was the AK-47, then the SKS, now the AR-15. It was the “plastic handgun that you can get past metal detectors”, then the high capacity magazine. Take away all those and it will be the lever-action because, even in the Civil War, some General remarked that you can “load it on Sunday and shoot it all week”.
Their talking points are like listening to some 13 year old girl explaining why she “absolutely HATES” some other girl in her class.
