It’s Carnival, the ghetto of cruise lines.
I’ve worked on cruise ships since I was 17 years old. My first work was baggage boy from Vancouver To Alaska or the Northwest Run as it was called.
Norwegian was the liner and they had registered ships in Canada. I’ve seen fights before. The last time it was my last summer there and one guy found his wife cheating (as the first officer told us she was naked with the other guy) and the husband almost murdered the other dude. Anchorage Police were waiting for him at port.
I only cruise with Disney. It costs double, and it’s worth it.
We did, however, just return from a fantastic 14-day cruise on a passenger/freighter ship with accommodations for 200 passengers.
The ship, the Aranui 5, cruises from Tahiti to the Marquesas Islands and delivers cargo at various small villages in the islands, which are some of the most beautiful islands in the world.
Great crew, wonderful food and a very relaxing fun trip.
