I know this sounds strange but Allen Dershowits might not be a bad pick.I agree, but the potential problem is that Alan Dershowitz is 79 years old. Not sure he's got the energy necessary (or the time left) to do the job thoroughly.

Add to that the fact that Dershowitz has said repeatedly that political weaponazation of the FBI and DOJ is not a crime.

I wouldn’t want Alan Dershowitz to represent me in traffic court. He’d take the case up to the SCOTUS, make a new precedent, but when it would be all over, I’d still have to pay the $50 fine and also his billed hours and disbursements. He doesn’t represent clients, he represents an uncontrollable urge to make law.
