It is true.

Further eating fresh produce isnt even a guarantee for health anymore. Our farming pratices have caused fruits and veggies to have less nutrients in them than ever before.

Our farming practices have caused fruits and veggies to have less nutrients in them than ever before.

That's one of the big reasons that I grow my own. As an added benefit to growing my own, once I have cubic yards of the stuff taking up space in my chest freezer and refrigerator, I feel obligated to use it. I'm not getting around to eating the highly-processed foods because I still have an oversupply of the tomatoes and peppers and plums and apples and carrots and beets and green beans and on and on and on that are filling my refrigerator and freezer (plus I still have a few square feet of floor space being used for stuff I couldn't find room for in the freezer yet). I'm eating self-picked fruits and vegetables almost every day, and at least half the days it makes up the major part of my diet.
