His parents were in their fifties when he was adopted. That’s not the usual recipe for success.

Don't forget the huge number of children that are literally being raised by grandparents of all ages some even in their 70's and 80's. . .

Mother Cruz did not want her sons anymore. She could not deal with them! She wanted to ship them up North to a neighbors daughter? Hello!

We need to find out how long ago Cruz’s dad died.
