Sad. Like someone trying to relive one good day they had in high school football. They had one good scoop 45 years ago...spoon fed to them by an FBI agent who was disgruntled that he didn’t get tapped to take over after Hoover.

Now everything is just like that... they want that one big shot moment again. Sad.

Maybe Woodstein should first study the Special Counsel law, and tell us which crime was committed, and why that crime was not listed by Rosenstein.

CFR § 600.1 Grounds for appointing a Special Counsel.

The Attorney General, or in cases in which the Attorney General is recused, the Acting Attorney General, will appoint a Special Counsel when he or she determines that criminal investigation of a person or matter is warranted and -
(a) That investigation or prosecution of that person or matter by a United States Attorney’s Office or litigating Division of the Department of Justice would present a conflict of interest for the Department or other extraordinary circumstances; and
(b) That under the circumstances, it would be in the public interest to appoint an outside Special Counsel to assume responsibility for the matter.

Right. Mueller has no evidence.
Trump should ask if Mueller is using the illegal wiretap information. Make him defend the FBI.

Best plan is to get someone decent under Rosenstein (the holdover there just quit) and then fire Rosenstein.

Let the new ‘new Rosenstein’ decide what’s best - either pull-in Molar to the point where he’s just investigating Trump collusion with Russia during the campaign, or fire him. But try to keep Trump’s fingerprints off it.

This is going to be a lot bigger than a Saturday night massacre. Gonna take a month of Sundays once the firings get started. The trials will go on for years. Gonna need more federal prosecutors and a bigger pen.

The smart play is to leave Mueller alone, let him flap in the wind.

In fact Trump has been and is doing exactly that.

The media have been trying to goad Trump into firing Mueller but their attempt is about as lame as Shiffy trying to get the President to declassify methods and procedures on the Dems counter memo.

The whole situation has blown up in the Democrat’s face.

Relax folks POTUS knows what he is doing

Trump-Russia is similar in many ways to Watergate. For instance...umm.. uh...hold on, give me a second. Hold on, it’s coming... seriously, it’s just
Ike Watergate.. believe me,, I tell ya, take my word for it.... because, well... because it just is, that’s why

Well, that will get them invited to sit on lots of “panels” on lots of “news shows.” Probably get them book offers too.

As for the Truth, well never mind.

The significant difference in this case is that “deep throat” is the Director of Counter Intelligence for the FBI and is reportedly a cooperating witness in the intelligence coup investigation by Nunez after being hung out to dry by Comey. This will not end well for the Clinton surrogates and will drip, drip, drip up to the midterm elections to give Republicans election firepower. If Woodward and Bernstein were real journalists instead of journal-crats they would be competing for a Pulitzer instead of missing Watergate x 10.

Buddy the media today is fukcing monster compared to 1973

Sure most media hated Nixon and were liberal as were media chiefs except Sarnoff at NBC who’d recently died

But today it’s off the damn charts

Nobody has ever seen the open derision night after night like today

There is zero holdback

Go back and look at the alphabet news then

The shot callers in media are the usual Zuckers and Igers and Moonves who detest our traditions they view as a threat but beneath them is a huge white leftist cadre and this is where it’s really different now...minorities ...of all kinds and except on FOX they are all crazy disrespectful say anything nuts existing just for revenge on white culture history and religion

And they do so unabated and rarely disciplined unless they hit a sacred woke crowd

This is our new reality that Nixon never faced or even imagined

I have warned about this here forever and been called racist and bigot and anti Semite etc ad nauseum by head in the sand folks

Nobody except maybe Lincoln who was at war and used wartime extra constitutional powers to squash dissent has ever faced anything like this

WITHOUT THE MEDI THERE IS NO LEFT OR GOPe

They empower this

They will not report a coup against Trump or breaking laws to depose him

They simply will ignore it and nay defend it

They have their own bigoted agenda and it’s aimed at us on this forum and those like us

This will have to go hot one day or we lose everything...like Cleburne warned very near my own home in 1864....we will lose it all sure as he did

Reminds me of the Woody Allen lobster scenes in Annie Hall. Trying to re-catch lightning in a bottle by lamely recreating the past. To the boredom of the audience.

Watergate was so puny and yesterday, boys. If it were not for your bias, you could help uncover the biggest corruption in US history.

So go sit in the corner. Watergate/boring, get it?

Deep Throat’s own abuse of power is why Bill Ayers is ‘guilty as sin yet free as a bird’. But don’t question the acts of the FIB!!! < /sarc >

The best film about Watergate is “Dick” it’s a comedy made in 1999.

It is hilarious!

If you ever get the chance to see this rare gem...watch it!
