I’ve been using them for a few years now and not once have I looked at them and think “Gee I wonder how those things that in no way resemble a food item taste”. How have people become so dumb? Is this the after effect of the Obumble years?
It's probably that, and social media where people do stupid and dangerous things for attention/15 minutes of fame. There was a dumb one a couple years ago called the "Cinnamon Challenge" where people videoed themselves eating a large spoonful of ground cinnamon and then choking and gasping. At least cinnamon is edible, but doctors including pulmonologists were warning people that inhaling cinnamon like that could damage your lungs. Despite that, and some of these people ending up in the hospital, they kept doing it. Doh.
