Except that treason is different. Sedition is the correct charge along with conspiracy as someone else pointed out. Mostly likely they will plea to conspiracy, lying to investigators, etc. We are still, fortunately, ruled by law, not revenge. They need to be charged on the laws they broke.

Sedition and Treason often get blurred.

Sedition is by and large an OVERT act of rebellion. Until recently, the acts of the Deep State have not been confirmed as they have been kept hidden, i.e. COVERT.

Treason is by and large COVERT, hidden from leaders, commanders, establishment authorities.

Sedition is characterized by open rebellion and vocal opposition. The Confederate States of America were considered as seditionists.

Treason is marked by lies, duplicity, double agents. Treason is known in the public awareness by examples of Benedict Arnold, the Rosenbergs, and others.

Congress Member Gosar is calling for charges of Treason. He’s a sharp one. I would not argue semantics with him.
