I just hang up on any call that does not respond to my hello in three seconds. The delay is the time it takes for the boiler room operator to switch over to the phone that is flashing that it has been picked up. I waste a hell of a lot less time that way.
I notice that many places are using computers to call....Frustrating even more. It does take awhile for the computer to begin their BS....I usually hang up right when they start the message. I think I hate that more then a human trying to sell something....at least they are working even though I do given them a time sometimes.
