Not to go full-blown conspiracy theorist on you, but the CIA illustration showing the B747 losing its nose, then zooming up sevaral thousand feed leaving a trail of flaming fuel, in order to explain what the literally hundreds of eye witnesses say was a missile rising up and hitting TWA 800, was complete and utter nonsense just from an aerodynamics perspective.

Some of the best witnesses saw no missile.
Anybody with experience in the judicial system knows that witness recollections are inconsistent, so they give more weight to forensic evidence. The forensic evidence says the center fuel tank exploded due to an electrical problem, and the tank being filled with a combustible mixture of fumes and air.

If that’s true, then why hasn’t somebody done something better in the past 20 years? And as far as know the animation was done for demonstration purposes. It’s not part of the official report.

You are correct, and that is precisely what Kallstrom's "sin" was, in trotting out that animation designed to discredit the eyewitnesses who described in documented FBI interviews a rising glowing object hit TWA 800.

I don't know if TWA 800 was downed by a terrorist in a "Cigarette" style offshore speed boat firing a MANPADS missile, or if an errant U.S. Navy live fire exercise accidentally downed the doomed airliner. It is possible. The simulation matches radar data and the debris field. If it’s not possible, then come up with your own simulation. The naysayers have had over twenty years to do it.
The investigation was led by the NTSB and the final and complete report on the investigation came from the NTSB. If they wanted the FBI to continue with their investigation they would have said so.
Kallstrom is a Trump supporter now and is on the right side of the issue this thread is about.
