Asking someone who denies that something happened to prove that it didn’t happen, or requiring that they disprove a negative, is like accusing someone of colluding with the Russians, then saying, “Prove you didn’t do it.”
It’s called “poisoning the well” and it’s a favorite Rat tactic.
The proponent of a proposition has the duty of proving it with satisfactory evidence. It isn’t incumbent on those presented with the assertion, upon those who say, “OK then, show us what you got.” to disprove the proposition.
In any event, a negative premise in a syllogism automatically invalidates the logical validity of the argument.
