Two sisters in Atlanta, Georgia, are accused of beating a 3-year-old to death after he snuck a cupcake from the kitchen.
Lashirley and Glenndria Morris were both indicted on felony murder charges over the death of Kejuan Mason, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
On Oct. 21, 2017, police got a call from a home on Cleveland Avenue in Southwest Atlanta, according to WCNC. When they got there they found medical personnel already performing CPR on Kejuan.
A police report stated that “From what I observed the house was infested with roaches.”
The pair currently remain in Fulton County jail.
During the incident, Lashirley used a baseball bat to beat Kejuan repeatedly on different parts of his body, according to a statement issued by the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office on Tuesday, Jan. 30.

At the same time, Glenndria, the child’s legal guardian, spanked the boy for eating the cupcake.
The 3-year-old was transported to Atlanta Medical center where he was pronounced dead. Paramedics at the scene said the child appeared not to be breathing for a while already, WCNC reported.
A report from the medical examiner’s office stated that the boy died from blunt force trauma.
If convicted, the sisters face life in prison, without the possibility of parole.
Glenndria told police initially that the boy had choked on a cupcake. She said another man had tried to do CPR and said that the emergency response took too much time. But she then changed her story, telling police the cupcake was removed and that the boy seemed to be fine.
True enough but my the times have changed.
There is a horrible moral and social rot going on in our country, and a failure of courts to protect the innocent. This kind of thing is too common, and instead of honestly addressing the factors that are contributing to child abuse, teen pregnancy, serial generational welfare dependency, lack of education, violence, and most importantly - a loss of appreciation of the sanctity of life, our elected ‘leaders’ play silly politics - including those who sat through the SOTU address, some playing with their phones. This includes the CBC members who should be addressing the disintegration of the black family structure instead of deciding what ‘protest clothing’ they should wear.

Oh, I thought it was his own sisters who beat him up - so this random chick somehow gets custody through the foster system or something? She must have been warehousing kids to get money for each. Good grief, poor little boy.

Very sad indeed. I had some similar circumstances as you. We were not poor, Dad worked sometimes 16 hours a day at the steel mill. Plus he did almost all the cooking and grocery shopping. We never ate in a restaurant. I remember frequent meals of spaghetti with no meat in the sauce. Rabbits he killed with a baseball bat. Lots of perch he caught. When we went to our grandparents house we always ate great. Grandpa would cook either a lamb or a pig in a pit in their backyard. There was always food on the table in our house and we appreciated it.
The only way this happened was Mama was worse and Pappy was an absent loser abuser.
Its difficult for many of us to believe but people are that bad, and the law can not protect you.

Spend some time in the mirror today pondering this news story, then do one thing today about what you dont like looking back at you or around your neighborhood.

They never stole, and they taught us to be thankful
