Exactly. What kind of idiot is this guy?
First, he threatens extortion to keep the FISA memo from being released.
Second, Wyden can't just unilaterally release classified documents on his own without breaking the law.
The FISA memo has been vetted and voted on by the House committee to release it. The president can declassify anything he wants.
But Wyden has no authority to do that on his own without looking at charges being brought.
Dimwitted?

Sorry Wyden, you’re just a lowly senator and cannot declassify classified info. The President can. If you want to release it, run for President.

This is Wyden sending out an SOS to Deep State embeds to send him compromising info against Repubs so he can illegally leak it.
It’s basically a blackmail threat.
The Repub response should be to threaten to declassify another 10,000 pages that the IC wants hidden.
the more is released, the weaker the Deep State becomes.
The Deep State’s power comes from being able to keep their wrongdoing “classified”.
Break that, and you break the Deep State.

Hes one of the horses patooties for Oregon, the state where I live. He used to be an impressive advocate for seniors, but that was long before he apparently got caught up in the corruption in DC. Too bad. I hope if he does what he has threatened, he goes to jail. And, Ron, The Obamas and Clintons are no longer in power. Try being statesmanlike for once in your miserable, recent career - instead of a washed up party hack.

Yes, let's hope so. NOW I know who he looks like - the Vampire from Kolchak: The Night Stalker.

Sounds good to me. Let it all out. I'm not afraid of some light. I'm sure there are a large number of folk in the government who are though. Fedgov is far too eager to classify things. There should be a compelling reason for anything to be classified under a government of free peoples.
