PA is now NY. I live right over the border, and we’re moving on.

We too wanted to stay close to our family - But people in the NE think 40 miles is something you need to get a hotel for. I know, I was there.

So we visit our family all the time. What with PA economy and lifestyle, we have time. But our family in CT are working so much just to survive that they never come out to see us. Their cars are in disrepair (As are most of the NY crowds) and they have to save up in every regard to come out here.

So we go there, but they rarely if ever come here.

Our area is full of New Yorkers. Seriously, even those with PA plates are actually New Yorkers or New Jerseyites and the locals hate ‘em. They tend to bring NY / NJ with them. Terribly rude, thinking all of us are just rednecks. Complaining to whoever will listen that we open carry. The list goes on.

NEPA is overrun by New Yorkers and New Jerseyites now, so much so that it’s just an extension of both states. Like what NJ did to Philly - the borders turn grey and everything just get worse.

But my county is SUPER conservative, and nothing will change that for the next 20 years even at accelerated paces. So come on down !

I plan on it. I’m going to PA from the north end, not the NYC end. I know those people are rude, expect you to kiss their asses and get out of their way. Screw them. NY state is getting like CA, thanks to Cuomo. And it can’t change because of the stronghold NYC has on the elections. PA is not anywhere near CA, though yes, it is not as ideal as say Texas, but it’ll do well for me.
