Famous National Lampoon ad that parodied the VW Bug ads of that era which showed various real life stories of people who ended up in a river or lake and whose lives were saved by the fact that the Bug/Beetle they drove was water-tight. The ads all had titles like, "If the Bob Smith family of Pork Corners, KS hadn't been driving a VW, they'd have all drowned when ...."

This appeared in around 1970. I heard Volkswagen sued Natl Lampoon. LOL!!
