Traditional for what? It was a rock solid conservative speech. We haven’t had one of those in the Republican party for decades.
Traditional in length and in having many people (very deserving, all) to use as anecdotal/emotional examples.
Still effective, but not a mold breaker.
I’m not complaining, just pointing out that it followed a tradition.
