Note the illegal is the plaintiff in the case, not the defendant.
Had he been a defendant, he WOULD have gotten a lawyer at taxpayers expense.
What they should’ve done was travel to a state where they actually enforce illegal immigration and get arrested.

California is bankrupt and the mood is changing out here. I have no doubt the court conferred with Jerry Brown before handing down their decision. It’s about money and we just don’t have it.
A good example of the state’s poor finances is how the State Legislature is trying to find a way to take away up to half of the 2017 federal tax refunds to businesses in the state.

What you are missing is that not all judges on the 9th are radical Liberals.
There are conservative justices there too, just not many, and so they get to rule on very few important cases.
